Happy November!


As we all know, the November cold weather is rolling in, but there is still so much to do in Evanston!!

 Midwest vendors sell fruits, vegetables, meat, flowers, cheese, eggs, baked goods and more. In addition, there will be “Home Grown Art" and food demos/tastings. LINK cards are accepted, and free parking is available at the adjacent Maple Ave. Garage with validation at City tent.

If you miss it, it will be back next year!

AARP and Evanston Development Cooperative are co-hosting an event “Coach House Downsizing," November 6 in the Linden Room of the Levy Senior Center.  

Coach houses can be an accessible housing solution for senior residents to age in-place in their own community. This event will discuss how you can keep your roots in the community by building a comfortable coach house on your curren


On Veterans Day Evanston will be honoring our Veterans at the

Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony


This commemorative ceremony honors the service of U.S. military and veterans. Assembly will begin at 10 a.m. and the ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m.

Fran Randall Classical Concerts: Monika Miodragovic & Caroline Paulsen


The Levy Senior Center Foundation is proud to bring the talents of young, award-winning classical musicians to the Levy Senior Center. Enjoy the musical stylings of Monika Miodragovic on piano and Caroline Paulsen on cellist. 

Monika Miodragovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, and in 2008, moved with her family to Chicago. She received her BA in piano performance and music theory at the University of Michigan, and is pursuing a performance diploma at the Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts. She performs solo and chamber repertoire and serves as a teaching artist at Columbia College. She has performed at Chicago Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Harris Theater.

Caroline Paulsen, from Minneapolis, MN, is currently studying cello performance at Northwestern University, where she is also a member of the NU Symphony Orchestra and the Dover Quartet’s chamber music program. Caroline has been a recipient of several competitive scholarships, and has worked with well-known composers.



Evanston Children's Theater Presents: Frozen Junior


Two sisters who happen to be princesses struggle to find common ground and thrive after they become orphans. The production features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and is based on the popular Disney film and book by writer Jennifer Lee. Come join us at the Levy Senior Center! Get a jump start on your holiday shopping with a visit to the Holiday Bazaar sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Evanston. At this annual event you will find lovely one-of-a-kind gifts from more than 50 artisans/vendors. Enjoy live music all weekend to get you into the holiday spirit! All three days are open to the public with free admission on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24. Admission is $20 to the Friday Night Preview Party, November 22. Proceeds from the Holiday Bazaar are distributed to local nonprofits serving those in need in our community.
