Get Registered for the Zombie Scramble - being held November 2
The Evanston Recreation Division presents the 6th annual Zombie Scramble event. The event is a 2-mile course where participants attempt to outwit and outrun "zombies." Your goal? Finish the course with all of your "lives" intact. Admission is $20. To receive the early bird fee of $15, register before October 11. Official Evanston Trick-or-Treat — Oct. 31
Evanston's official trick-or-treat hours are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 31.
Fall Fest - October 15
Fall Fest is packed with fun, seasonal activities for the whole family to enjoy. Try your hand at carving pumpkins, eating caramel apples, and playing games. This event will be held at the Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Admission is $5. Trunk or Treat - October 25
Firetrucks, police cars, and other awesome City of Evanston vehicles will take part in our first trunk (trick) or treat event. Held in the Chandler-Newberger parking lot off Central Street, young trick-or-treaters can see how City of Evanston vehicles dress up for Halloween! After your stroll through the parking lot, join us in the Chandler-Newberger Center for our indoor playground, snacks, and craft activities. This event, for children ages 5 and under and their families, will take place Friday, October 25 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Main-Dempster Mile Spooky Saturday - October 26
Kids of all ages are welcome to enjoy trick-or-treat with the merchants of the Main-Dempster Mile while stopping at special events along the way. Spooky Saturday will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Bug-a-Boo Non-Scary Halloween Walk - October 26
Join Ecology Center staff for our annual Halloween event to highlight the creatures that call the North Shore Channel home. You’ll meet these characters (costumed volunteers) outside as you travel around the Ladd Arboretum and enjoy activities and snacks at the Ecology Center. This event is for children ages 2-10 and their families. Admission is $5 resident, $7 non-resident. WCE - Dreams Delivered dress donations - MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY - October 26
On Saturday, October 26th from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Indian Hill Train Station. Address: 111 North Green Bay Road, Winnetka , IL 60093 Prom dresses can be dropped of for the Dreams Delivered dress donation drive.
According to the Women’s Club of Evanston’s website “Dresses should be “new or nearly new," preferably three (3) years old or less, or a classic, “timeless” design. Keep in mind the girls are looking for age-appropriate prom styles they see in the stores. We do not accept men's tuxedos or suits.”
