JoAnn Maniquis - REALTOR®
I entered real estate to fulfill a desire to help people and make a difference. I believe in personalized service, enhanced by innovative technologies. I’m here to listen, find you a place to fall in love with and be your advocate for either a sale or purchase.
I have lived in the Chicago metropolitan area for more than 30 years with residences in Evanston, Northfield, Lincolnshire, Wheeling, and Chicago’s Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, Jefferson Park, Sauganash, Rogers Park and Wrigleyville neighborhoods. I left Illinois a few times living in Washington DC, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Chicago, from my experience, has the best representation of every ethnicity and culture.
My husband and I enjoy taking advantage of the many opportunities this area has to offer: neighborhood festivals, biking, paddle boarding on the lake, music, dance and cultural events. But, our passion is sharing meals with family and friends. We love finding the little known restaurant gems. Although, mostly we cook in our home, especially while cheering on our sports team: Cubs, Blackhawks, Penguins, Steelers and Bears. I’m originally from Pittsburgh.
I have a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, and have honed my organizational and project management skills while working in a variety of industries, including: project management for an energy conservation pilot program, the Commonwealth Edison Energy Cooperative; financial analyst for Coopers & Lybrand regulated utilities division; assistant production manager for Simon & Schuster publishing; director of client services for Mobium Creative Group; and TMP Worldwide client services and regional project management.
